Eleanor Malinoski, MSW, LCSW

About Eleanor

Eleanor Malinoski is a licensed clinical social worker in the State of Indiana where she has been practicing within the field for over 16 years. She was influenced by her own experience in therapy to start the process of learning how to become a therapist herself with a passion to dispel the stigma associated with mental health treatment. Her focus has been on working with those individuals who are presently affected by traumatic events they have experienced or are experiencing in their lives.

Educational Information

Eleanor attended Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina and completed a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in psychology. She went on to University of Southern Indiana and completed her Master of Social Work degree with a focus in clinical social work. During the 3 years required post graduate to obtain a license in clinical social work, Eleanor worked within both a state psychiatric inpatient hospital as well as a community outpatient mental health clinic.

Experience

Eleanor has worked in a wide array of institutions within the mental health field in her 16 years of practice. She has worked with children in inpatient settings and worked with children and adults in an outpatient setting as well as in private practice. In 2021 Eleanor began working with The Emotional PPE Project to provide mental health support and therapy services to healthcare workers affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. She has recently completed training in the use of EMDR.

She continues this work as it aligns with her passion for ending the stigma of mental health care and support. Eleanor is a LGBTQIA2S+ affirming counselor.
